October Craft Night

This month we will be making yarn pumpkins. I found a fun tutorial over at Everything Under the Moon that shows how to wrap foam pumpkins with fall colored yarn. I love the fall colors and think this will be a fun fall decoration in my home. I can't wait to make one!

This is what the final product will look like:

   

We will provide some foam pumpkins and some yarn, but if you want to bring your own pumpkin or yarn, please feel free to bring your own. (Target has pumpkins in the dollar bin right now.)

We hope to see you WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3 at Meaghan's house (2102 Oak Stream Lane Apex, NC) at 7:00pm. Eat dinner before you come but save room for dessert!

We will have our craft party on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18 at 7pm.


This month we will be making a "message board" out of a cookie sheet. There are several different directions you can take this project in. Here are some ideas:

Please bring your own cookie sheet.

We will have chalkboard paint, ribbon and some fabric scraps. Please bring your own scrapbook paper, stickers or other decorations. 

There will be a small fee for this project to cover the cost of paint and ribbon.

March 2012

For our March craft gathering, we will be meeting on SATURDAY, MARCH 10 at Connie Barnes' house at 10am. We will be making a St. Patrick's Day wreath! Many of you said you wanted to do seasonal crafts, so seasonal we will do!

We will also make some of these cute shamrocks to stick on the outside of the wreath. 

In order to keep costs down, please let Meaghan know if you have any fabric scraps you can contribute.

Please bring 2 coat hangers and any "add ons" you might want to put on your wreath. There will be a small fee to help pay for supplies, we will let you know what that is soon.

February 2012

For our February craft we will be making monograms with buttons. For this project we will take canvases, glue fabric onto them and then glue on buttons. They should turn out something like the Ks and the E below.  We will have canvases for you as well as different options for fabric and buttons. We just ask that you bring $5 to pitch in to cover supplies. If you would rather bring your own fabric and buttons (so they will match the room you want to hang this lovely masterpiece in!) please feel free. The canvases will be 8x10 so bring fabric that is at least 10x12.

Please bring a glue gun if you have one!
